Today, we finally finished our tree ornaments. The experiment did not go as well as I expected. I literally had to redo everything. We only had to change our materials once though. I had to replace styrafoam with paper. We also had to redo our measurements because we had our formulas mixed up. The hardest thing to do was verbalizing our steps. Though we got it all done. We got an A+ on the ornament I did not send in.

The population is all the same area at one time, love the platipuse. The water is non-living and grass is living so it is an ecosystem and again love the platipuse.

Tree Ornament Day 2
Today, I was in for a rude awakening. I realized that me and my partner have to recreate our final draft. Though we got other stuff done, too. We managed to actually create and finish the actual ornament. The baseball with a flaming tail came out better than I expected. We even managed to redo our measurements. All we had to find was the perimeter and area of the whole project, the base height of our ornament, the area and circumference of our can, and the radius and diameter of our can. The easiest things to find was the radius and diameter of our can. All we had to do was measure it. The diameter was three inches and the radius was one and one half inches. The perimeter of our entire ornament was three inches in width and eight inches in length. The area of the whole project was seventy and two fifths of inches squared. To find that I had to mentally picture it opened up and find the area like a polygon. The base height of our ornament was one and one half inches on the dot. The hardest things to find was find the area and circumference of our can. The area was twenty-two and one fifth of an inch squared. I found that by multiplying the radius of the can by pie and squaring it. The circumference was easier to find. It was nine and a half inches. All I had to do was multiply the diameter by pie. Today was challenging, but rewarding.

Tree Ornament; Day 1
Today was the first day of our tree ornament project. It was a little rushed, but productive. The biggest challenge we had was the first one. We had so many ideas on what to make. It went from a cactus to a football. Though we finally decided to make an Arizona Diamondback baseball. We came up with our materials pretty easily. We needed an empty tuna can, several pieces of styrofoam, construction paper, and a sketching pencil. We even got our measurements done. They came in to the ten-thousandths place in the decimals, so we were forced to round. After all that work, we still got more done. We even finished our detailed blueprints of our ornament. We are currently working on our verbal steps. We had a productive day.

Individual because there was just one platypus. And abiotic because the platypus lives in the water.
